Having moved here from Oxford, the support Konstantlna Nika Lecturer in Biochemistry, School of Medicine I received from the "C caratheodory" Programme was a key factor that enabled me start my own research team at the University of Patras.
·C caratheodory" Programme is of great importance for the achievement of the research goals of our University. It must therefore receive support from all related institutions and stakeholders in order to help more young scientists in achieving their goals and fulfilling their dreams..
Dr. Andreas Antonopoulos
The Programme helped me mature as a researcher. Together with my Principal Investigator, I organized an intemational conference with great success, while I am currently publishing two books in a major intemational publisher. The outcomes of my research, which was ealTied out in the framework of the Programme, contributed greatly to my recent exceptional performance in a research contest organized by the State Scholarships Foundation (IKY), where my proposal was placed 1st among 470. The Programme definitely opens new horizons to its participating fellows.
Dr. Vasslllkl Zygouri
Thanks to the safety offered by this Programme's funding, as well as the assistance and support of its people, I was able to exceed my limits and set new research and professional goals. I would strongly suggest the University of Patras to continue implementing the Programme, and to encourage future fellows to follow their dreams with hard work, focus on their goals, with discipline and -above all- love and ethos for research
Dr. Zacharias Frontistis
The post-doctoral fellowship I was granted by the Programme helped me substantially to implement an innovative idea and at the same time, to contribute to the training of new researchers in the field of waste-water treatment. It also contributed decisively towards developing collaborations with professors of the University of Patras. Such fellowships are vital for limiting the brain drain of young scientists
Dr. Areti Gianni
My participation in the Programme played a decisive role for staying in Greece to pursue research. Thanks to the harmonious collaboration with the services of UPAT's Research Committee, I was able to focus on the implementation of the technical part of the project. Through this fellowship, I acquired valuable knowledge that I can use in my future research on the restoration of degraded inland and coastal waters by using natural and/or modified absorbent materials.
